Challenging others to remain solely in Christ in this ever-changing world, sharpen their walk with Him, and to spread the Word and Live as if He is coming tomorrow.
Pre-K through 5th Grade
Sunday School helps children to be comfortable with and better understand their faith, while learning to live a Christ-centered life. Messages are tailored to the child’s age-level and understanding. Lessons include games, crafts, and singing, which relate to the message. Children also take home a handout to reinforce the lesson and stimulate discussion with his or her family.
6th Grade through Senior High
These classes use activities, handouts, and discussion to emphasize Christ as the primary relationship in each youth’s life. The focus is on being comfortable discussing God’s word, how it relates to life, and how to apply it in everyday situations.
Sunday Funday activities are planned, by our Pastor to Youth, Families and Young Adults, for children and their families.
Vacation Bible School
VBS uses multimedia themed approach to teach kids about how awesome God is…through crafts, games, music and drama. It’s always high energy and FUN!
Middle & High School Youth Group
Zion UCC Youth Group will meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Beck Fellowship Hall. This year, we will be sharing in a program called “Think. Believe. Do.” We will explore challenging questions that come up for Christian youth, and we will encounter God through video lessons, conversation, skits/role playing, games, and of course FOOD. All students, grades 6-12 are invited! Friends are ALWAYS welcome and encouraged!
“Merge is a collaborative youth gathering that meets once a month. Rooted in the peace-making way of Jesus, we seek to be a safe space for teenagers to experience inclusive community, build authentic relationships, have big fun, and engage in service to others. You are welcome here, just as you are!”
Each summer MERGE travels to a new city with the goal of helping that community in whatever ways they can. Sometimes, this means building a wheelchair ramp and other times it means stocking a food pantry. Our youth are no strangers to hard work and each year they learn a new way in which they can be active citizens who use their own hands to spread the gospel. This year’s mission trip will be to Biloxi, MS. Call for more information.
